Abstract

In this work, an attempt is made to synthesize a phosphor using powerful fluxes of hard radiation. For the synthesis of ceramics YAG: Ce, a charge was prepared with a composition corresponding to the stoichiometric composition of yttrium and aluminum oxides. Gadolinium oxide as a modifier and cerium oxide as an activator were added to the mixture. Measurements of the photoluminescence spectra of the luminophore samples were performed using a Cary Eclipse fluorescence spectrophotometer (Agilent). The kinetic characteristics were measured through an MDR-204 monochromator, a Hamamatsu
h10720-20 photomultiplier. The luminescence spectra are typical for such ceramics or phosphors. As a result of exposure to the radiation flux, ceramics with the YAG: Ce or YAGG: Ce structure were synthesized, depending on the introduction of gadolinium.
